5 Reasons Why You May Not Be Making a Greater Impact in Your Organization

Before we kicked off 2018 I saw many of you reflecting on what you've accomplished in 2017 even with all the support you have for the size of your organization. But sometime support isn't a enough and lets face it sometime we miss the mark when it comes to some things. In order to make this year different and to make more progress than just "reaching the goals" you may want to consider and reevaluate a few things like:

1.  You haven't invested in your organization. You have to have the mindset of thinking smart & in the future. It will take money to not only produce the programs and events you desire but personal development, education is key as  CEO/Founder. Remember this isn't a hobby especially if you have a following (clients, volunteers & stakeholders).

2. You're doing it alone. It meaning trying to carry the mission and vision has given you to carry out in your community. You're trying to be the secretary, social media manager, volunteer coordinator, street team, mentor etc. This is not to say you wont wear any of these hats when you do get the help and build your dream team but you wont be pressured to play them all at once. Please remember when doing so, fully train and educate everyone for their role. We will also talk about this in the Prep My Org. Academy this Winter Qrt.

3. Collaborate with other organizations and businesses in your community. It's great to see two different orgs or businesses giving back in their community or coming together for a great cause. Many times when you're trying to establish who you are and what your organization stands for you tend to want to do it all alone so that all eyes are on you. But building relationships with community center managers, other similar orgs, law enforcement etc.

4. You skip out on networking events. This is a great way to share your organization with others for FREE. When doing so, make sure you have your business cards and small pamphlets specifally for these types of events where people can take it with them on the go and place them in their purse or pocket & not trash them.

5. You maybe comparing your progress to other organizations out there. Lets face it, this happens to everyone and it is definitely something you have to control mentally. When doing it alone you tend to have more time on your hands and stressed out about how you're going to get things done.

Starting today, lets drop the excuses, clean up our act, actively prepare to bring in volunteers or build this amazing dream team you've been wanting to have. If you're looking for the help with to do this, you can do this by registering for the Prep My Org. Academy Winter Qrt now.
